چکیده

3D imaging system was developed utilizing a combination of sparse 2D arrays, the synthetic aperture focusing technique, and coded excitation of a solution for high-speed 3D ultrasound imaging, since it could formulate multiple transmitting beams as well as receiving beams with a minimum number of transmissions. A 40 × 40 array of PZT elements was fabricated with a conventional dice-and-fill process (each element: 2MHz, 1mm × 1mm). 3D images were successfully obtained for the standard ultrasound phantoms with 32 transmitters and 128 receivers. It is shown that the combination of the 2D array and the coded wavefront method is applicable in medical diagnosis.

Evaluation of a fast method of EPID-based dosimetry for IMRT and Comparison with 3D EPID-based dosimetry system using conventional two- and three-dimensional detectors for VMAT

Introduction: Electronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) could potentially be useful for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and VMAT QA. The data density, high resolution, large active area, and efficiency of the MV EPID make it an attractive option. However, EPIDs were designed as imaging devices, not dosimeters, and as a result they do not inherently measure dose in ...

Correlation analysis of three-dimensional strain imaging using ultrasound two-dimensional array transducers.

Two-dimensional (2D) transducer arrays represent a promising solution for implementing real time three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound elastography. 2D arrays enable electronic steering and focusing of ultrasound beams throughout a 3D volume along with improved slice thickness performance when compared to one-dimensional (1D) transducer arrays. Therefore, signal decorrelation caused by tissue motio...

Wide-field two-dimensional multifocal optical-resolution photoacoustic-computed microscopy.

Optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (OR-PAM) is an emerging technique that directly images optical absorption in tissue at high spatial resolution. To date, the majority of OR-PAM systems are based on single-focused optical excitation and ultrasonic detection, limiting the wide-field imaging speed. While 1D multifocal OR-PAM (1D-MFOR-PAM) has been developed, the potential of microlens a...

2D imaging of ultrasound fields using CCD array to map output of Fabry-Perot polymer film sensor

A 2D ultrasound field imaging system that uses a CCD array to map the optical output of a planar Fabry-Perot polymer film sensing interferometer is described. This system enables ultrasound fields to be rapidly mapped over a 6.6 4.7 mm aperture with spatial and temporal resolutions of the order of 10 mm and 10 ns, respectively. The concept was successfully demonstrated by imaging the acoustic f...
